Vini Belluzzo Aurum - 2020 (500ml)
Vini Belluzzo Aurum - 2020 (500ml)
The Belluzzo family farm, with 2.7 hectares of manually managed vineyards, is in Tarcento, the northernmost town of the Colli Orientali region of Friuli. The vineyards are spread across distinctly different terroirs, allowing for 8 unique wines from the property. Luca, who is also the enologist at Jermann Winery, keeps yields low to guarantee maximum aromatics, concentration and structure. He has experience making wine all around Italy and the world, and it wasn’t until 2015 that he felt Vini Belluzzo was ready to produce wines in line with his winemaking philosophy.
Verduzzo and Friulano
Harvest: Obtained from botrytized Verduzzo Friulano grapes. The grapes dry in crates for 5 months in our company’s fruit cellar after being harvested at the end of October before being fermented at the beginning of April.
Elaboration: The wine is aged in French barriques for 18 months and then in bottles for 18 months before being released. The wine is produced using Verduzzo grapes of different clones: green, golden and red which are chosen and selected depending on the year.
Ginger, saffron and rich honeycomb drive the flavor profile of this intensely balanced sweet wine.
