Nose: smoky and sulphurous, it has hints of flint together with notes of citrus and wildflowers.
Palate: creamy and elegant. It has great freshness and flavor. The finish is dry and very persistent.

The 2023 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare tempts the senses with a bouquet of flint stones and white smoke, complicating freshly sliced nectarines and hints of rosemary. It is soothingly round with a balanced inner sweetness offset by saline mineral tones as a gorgeous mix of ripe apple and sour lime plays a game of contrasts on the palate. This finishes with excellent length and clarity, leaving nuances of candied citrus and sweet sage to linger. Suavia captured the saline intensity of the vintage and matched it to a vivid core of ripe fruit. Well done. - By Eric Guido on September 2025

From a seven-hectare site with volcanic soils, the organic Suavia 2023 Soave Classico Monte Carbonare shows a mid-weight texture with plump fruit flavors of peach and melon. This is one of the original single-vineyard expressions in a portfolio that has grown in size and site-specific wines over the past years. I love that combination of citrus and mineral on the finish of this unoaked white. This is a 40,000-bottle release. Monica Larner
