    4.5 stars, really.

    I’ve only had the neck pour so far, but already very nice after sitting in the glass a half hour. Not too much sherry influence, pretty consistent profile with the 13-year distillery bottling, but the higher ABV and perhaps superior casks(?) make this more intense and flavorful. Very rich and intense.

    Nose: grilled orange peel, raisins, cinnamon, vanilla, a faint touch of soot

    Palate: oily and viscous, dried fruit, raisins, walnut, apple-orange, yeast and walnut.

    Finish: long, apple, chocolate, raisins, charred oak, more soot.
