A handmade, exceptionally silky cask-strength rum. Ron Hacienda Santa Ana is masterfully blended to highlight very balanced fruit notes, not an easy feat to achieve for a cask-strength rum aged for 2 years. It’s incredibly smooth character is perfect for cocktails and mixology.
Tasting Notes:
Bold from the start, with hints of burnt caramel, overripe banana, and dried apricots that swarm the palate. Deeper layers of cinnamon and dark raisins, with a woody finish. Complex flavor that at first overpowers but soon balances perfectly with the strong over proof nature of the rum.

- Ron del Barrilito is the oldest Puerto Rican rum brand still in production. Since 1880, it has been made by the Fernández family at Hacienda Santa Ana in Bayamón, Puerto Rico. Every single bottle of Ron del Barrilito holds premium rum that has been crafted by hand using the same methods since 1880. It’s always been made in very small batches. Absolutely no artificial ingredients or colorings are used. It’s aged to perfection in vintage, Spanish white oak sherry barrels.

The bouquet is charmingly understated with subtle scents of yellow fruit pulp, toffee, milk chocolate and vanilla bean. Palate entry is balanced, nicely acidic, creamy, cane sweet and warm; midpalate accentuates dark chocolate. Finish is confident and elegant. State-of-the-art, properly oak-aged rum.

Made from molasses, it was in finding a use for the byproduct of sugarcane, in the Caribbean, that Rum came into being. Every island has its own distinct style, with each of the island's distilleries producing a further variation . While white rums readily form the base for a number of varied cocktails, dark rums, aged in ex-bourbon and cognac barrels, can take on great depth of flavour. They typically exhibit exotic, tropical-fruit aromas and a warm spiciness that, like any great spirit, is worthy of appreciating on its own.
