This small-batch treat contains the upper-limit of rye for a bourbon so it's definitely not your typical Kentucky-style whiskey. The rye balances the sweetness of the corn and two years of ageing in charred oak barrels give it the authentic flavor bourbon lovers crave. Redemption Bourbon is distilled in Indiana and bottled by hand in Kentucky. 46% alc./vol. (92 proof).
Aged “over 2 years” and with over 38% rye in the mashbill (high for bourbon). It’s fresh, youthful, and brisk, with sweet corn, bright fruit, brittle mint, cinnamon, and a dusting of cocoa, leading to a slightly aggressive finish. A bit too youthful, actually, for sipping—it would benefit from a few more years aging. Save this one for your next manhattan. Its sibling, Redemption Rye (of similar age) fares better. (I rated it an 84.) — John Hansell Whisky Advocate.

Hard hit by Prohibition, for decades American Whiskey has been primarily thought of as a Southern staple rather than a world class spirit. Now whether you're looking for a Rye, Bourbon, or even a Single Malt, you'll find a large range from a number of distilleries, from North to South and from the Pacific to the Atlantic coasts.
