Mondeuse

Mondeuse noire is a red French wine grape variety that is grown primarily in the Savoy region of eastern France. It generally produces deeply colored and very aromatic wines that can be very tannic but often have good aging potential. It may display notes of black cherry and when grown in the United States often is typified by intensified earth and spice.
