Mauzac

In recent years it has become more common to pick Mauzac young producing a drier more acidic wine than was created previously. In the past it frequently produced mildly sweet and sparkling white blended wines and may be blended with chardonnay or Chinon Blanc in some regions. The grape is also one of the seven permitted white varieties in Bordeaux wine.
