Our Silvaner Alte Reben (old vines) fascinates with its intensive taste and minerality. Alte Reben means the berries stems from vines which are at least 20 years old – in our estate most of them are 40 years of age. These old vines have deep roots enabling them to take more extracts and minerals from the soil as young ones are able to do. That gives the wine its powerful character. The complex flavors are extraordinary: the fragrance of wild herbs, unobtrusive notes of fruits like pear and apple together with a concentrated taste and long lasting finish ensure a great pleasure. A wine promising a brilliant future! This Silvaner suits perfectly to dishes with rich sauces, but also to roasted fish and sea food, poultry or veal.
