Gusbourne Guinevere Chardonnay - 2022 (750ml)

Two Burgundy clones of 548 and 95 are planted in clay and sandy loam soils. Whole bunch pressed, fermented in barrique, full malolactic fermentation, and then aged 10 months in 20% new French oak. Stone fruit, toasted nuts, saline.

"Bright gold in colour and with a nose full of ripe lemon and vanillary yoghurt, this single vineyard wine shows classic characters of a cool climate, barrel-aged Chardonnay. The ripe, rounded fruit follows through to the palate with elegant stone fruit, citrus peel and pineapple, encased in delicate creamy-yoghurt oakiness. A linear, saline minerality and notes of toasted nuts and oatmeal linger to create a complex and long-lasting finish."
