100% Cabernet Franc grown in the western Loire valley. This site has been farmed organically since 1975 and certified Biodynamic 1998. Fermented and aged in amphora for two years and bottled without any added sulphur.
Energetic red fruit aromas of sour cherry, rosehip, with hints of florals. In the mouth this is fine grained, long and zesty with fresh acid. It drinks more like an elegant, cool climate Pinot Noir, without any of the expected herbal tones of Franc. Serious natural wine to convert the doubters.
