Winemaking: Fruit was direct pressed and moved to stainless steel, racked off lees three times, and fermented outside under sunny skies. We watched sugar levels closely and chilled the tank when we reached the correct levels, then bottled it up by hand, again, outside under sunny skies. This wine captures the warmth and sunshine of the vintage beautifully.
Brimming with grapefruit and Meyer lemon, golden kiwifruit, papaya, starfruit, racy acid, fresh salinity, and of course, bubbles.

'Das ist Schon' or 'That's nice!'... 50% Scheurebe, 40% Müller-Thurgau, 10% Gelber Muskateller
From 23 year old vines planted to 3ha, the grapes are hand-harvested at the beginning of October, de-stemmed and allowed to macerate for 14 days. Spontaneous fermentation lasts for eight weeks with temperature control and spends around 20 weeks on the lees, with stirring once a week. Unfiltered.
A 20th century German crossing created by Georg Scheu, Scheurebe is capable of producing opulent forest fruit flavors of blackcurrants, which can sometimes be complemented with grapefruit and citrus aromas. Originally thought to have been a crossing of Riesling and Silvaner, recent DNA profiling suggests the second parent is not Silvaner but an unknown wild vine.
