Código 1530 Cristalino Reposado Tequila is the latest innovation from Código 1530, a rare find on the Cristalino market today. This premium tequila features Código Reposado Tequila, aged in French white oak Cabernet wine barrels, blended with Código Origen Extra Anejo Tequila, to strengthen the flavor of the tequila. Charcoal filtration and oxygenation result in a soft finish. Código 1530's tequila offerings have been perfected using time-honored customs without ever veering from the historic traditions of including chemicals, flavors, colors or sweeteners to maintain the rich flavor of Los Bajos agave. Código 1530 uses only fully matured Blue Weber Agave and Amatitán water from freshwater pools and rainwater, filtered through the volcanic soil of Los Bajos. Código 1530's proprietary chopper allows them to extract only the best juice and pulp from the first press of agave to garner the purest flavor. Enjoy this liquor neat, on the rocks or in a cocktail. Enjoy Responsibly.

Product Review
Our barrels are charred by hand, on-site at our private distillery in Amatitán. We age our tequila to taste instead of time, adhering to a time-honored family aging process.
Tasting Notes
Bright, sweet agave notes with the added complexity of vanilla, toasted caramel and subtle cocoa powder.
Distilled from the Blue Agave plant, Tequila is a uniquely Mexico spirit. Of the five provinces it is made in, Jalisco produces the most significant share. To be legally classified as a tequila it must contain at least 51% Blue Agave, however producers with ambitions to create Tequila with the fullest flavour will use 100% and advertise the fact on the front label. From youngest to oldest, the categories blanco, reposado, and anjeo reflect the degree of ageing. Blanco, also known as silver, is un-aged. Reposados and Anejos are usually aged in ex-bourbon casks with the former receiving anything between 2 and 11 months and the latter between 1 and 5 years. Ageing beyond 5 years tends to result in the Tequila loosing its agave character.
