The beloved enological offspring of Castello di Montepò, an exquisite label capable of enhancing all the sensory qualities brought by the Sangiovese Grosso BBS11, an exclusive heritage of the Biondi Santi family. A fresh, round, and dynamic wine, named after a volcanic erratic boulder that has fueled many local legends over the centuries.

We say, this wine, made from a historic clone of Sangiovese known for tight bunches and an ability to sustain itself from deep soil water, is super savory.  It shows aromas of salty caramel, roasted meat juices and deeply savory earth tones.  Compare this to a very good Rosso di Montalcino and you get an idea of the style.  While the nose is compelling, the texture is where this hits another level, with very elegant, super fine tannins, this should be amazing at the table with food.
