Winemaker's Notes:

Made of 100 % Nebbiolo grapes grown in the hills overlooking Barbaresco, this wine delivers a delicate perfume reminiscent of dark cherry and black pepper with a hint of tobacco from a fine cigar. Elegant and fully ripe it has a wonderful structure and balance. Aged for two years in the oak and one year in the bottle, this wine is as good now as it will be aged for many years.

The 2019 Barbaresco has a slender, almost fragile personality with small berry tones, wild strawberry and blueberry. The effect is very beautiful, especially the melting tannins that characterize the mouthfeel. The wine is fermented in oak and stainless steel and matures in large oak casks for 24 months. The 2019 Barbaresco is fabulous.  Bright and effusive, with striking aromatic presence, the 2019 is seriously impressive. Crushed flowers, herbs, sweet pipe tobacco and cedar are immediately seductive. Medium in body, with bright acids and plenty of tannin, he Barbaresco is a fine example of what this vintage is all about. I would give it a few years in the bottle. This is a terrific showing for the straight Barbaresco. - Antonio Galloni
