90% Syrah and 10% Grenache from organically grown grapes.  The vineyard is located in the Coteaux Varois en Provence sub-region of Provence which is inland from the coast, and consequently cooler with later harvest dates and more freshness in the finished wine.  This offers aromas of bright brambly fruits with ripe plums with a subtle resinous herbal undertone.  This was aged all in stainless steel tanks wihtout any oak.  Tannins are open textured and approachable.  Try this with grilled lamb or bouillabaisse.

    A good value from the land of Cezanne

    Bastide de Fave Heritage ede Saint Victor is a far better than average Provencal red wine t a reasonable price. I plan to order more of it in the near future.
