Tasting Notes:

Nose: Caramelised banana and milk chocolate chips. Grassy rye spice and a hint of fresh green apple skin. A little vanilla and white pepper, with raisin and Maraschino cherry.

Palate: Light-medium bodied. Maraschino cherry notes come forward with hints of coffee sponge cake, ground ginger, and cocoa powder, underlaid by that subtle spicy rye note. Malted milkshake with banana and a hint of hazelnut butter.

Finish: Medium, on cherry and apple cordial with a hint of flaked almond.

Comment: Sweet, soft, and juicy.

    Delicious Twist

    Leave it to the French to do something you don't expect and somehow make it work. I have had other French whiskies before and when I saw the price I had to try this one as well. The low price is definitely not because of low quality. This whisky has an extraordinary blend of flavors (from the three different casks it's aged in) that made it instantly among my favorite whiskies on my shelf. I will absolutely be pulling it out to impress friends that come over.
