Antigua Distillery Ltd English Harbour Madeira Cask Finish Rum (750ml)

The English Harbour Madeira Cask Finish was created in honour of the brand’s Founders who came from the island of Madeira, off the coast of Portugal. The Madeira Finish is held very dear to their hearts and so in the creation of the third batch, they wanted to make it very special. The casks were sourced from Blandy’s and unlike the first two Finishes, where only one type of wine cask was used, they now used four different type of Madeira cask for this 5 months finish. The casks are a mix of Bual, Sercial, Malvasia and Tinta, which gives this Finish a complexity that is not easily describable. Bright golden colour. Warm welcoming nose of walnuts and hazelnuts follows through to bright cinnamon, fresh citrus and marzipan notes. Soft floral notes open on the palate, leading then to the marzipan from the nose. The mid palate opens into white chocolate and bright citrus ending with pleasant pumpkin spices.
