The π is standing in for the letter 'p', so the wine name is Panas, as in Pan, the Greek god of the wild, shepherds, and rustic music.
The wine itself is made from 100% Agiorgitiko using carbonic maceration to yield a wine of lighter weight with fresh, dark plum aromas and a softer texture that would work as well with grilled lemon and oregano-scented chicken as with heartier meat dishes.

One of the more commercially important indigenous Greek varieties, it can exhibit a wide range of characteristics, from soft to very tannic, depending on factors in the growing and winemaking processes. The grape is typically made as a varietal, though it is notably blended with Cabernet Sauvignon in the area around Metsovo to make the table wine traditionally called katoi. The wines are known for their high level of fruitiness but tend to have very little acidity and light body. After Xynomavro, it is Greece's second most widely planted grape variety.
