Tasting Notes

Classic American bubblegum is immediately apparent on the nose, bringing a wonderfully distinct top note in a spirits category that often carries more industrial or tropical fruit-centric noses, along with lemongrass, citral, and Makrut lime leaves, as well as more cask-centric notes like cherry cola and vanilla. On the palate, aggressive peak-of-summer apricot grounds the palate while the bubblegum note holds true. Contemplation over the palate reveals banana candy and overripe cavendish banana, roasted pumpkin, and raisins with a light industrial note to ground the fruit and floral notes. A more classic malt whisky finish brings the tannins to the fore to provide an enduring finish. At 69.4% alcohol by volume, this drinks well below its proof.
