Hundred Acre Fortunate Son The Dreamer - 2021 (750ml)
Hundred Acre Fortunate Son The Dreamer - 2021 (750ml)
Fortunate Son is the culmination of more than two decades searching for small jewel vineyards and the fruit from them, handcrafted in the same, meticulous way as Hundred Acre. The 2018 vintage of Fortunate Son was made at Hundred Acre's underground winery: The RING. In the future, Fortunate Son will be crafted at our new winery: The Fortunate Son Winery at the Historic David Fulton Vineyard Established in 1860. These wines are all brooding, elegant weapons, seductive and haunting, they will get your full attention and your love and become an integral part of your cellar's strength.
The wine displays a shimmering, lucid ruby color. Gorgeous, dusty, dark berry fruit unfolds with an incredible panoply of mulled Christmas spices and warm berry pie compote. Full-bodied and texturally defined, framed by a core of ultra-fine tannins with added dark berry fruit depth. It is a meal unto itself but better paired with roasted meats drizzled in rich plum sauce and accompanied by prosciutto wrapped figs.

Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2021 The Dreamer Cabernet Sauvignon bursts with bold cassis, baked plums, and boysenberries notes, followed by hints of camphor, violets, and dark chocolate. The medium to full-bodied palate has a solid frame of bright freshness and firm, grainy tannins supporting the muscular black fruits, finishing long with a lively lift.

Moving to the Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated releases, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon The Dreamer has a sensational perfume of crème de cassis, spring flowers, graphite, and sweet, loamy earth-like nuances. It's pure, medium to full-bodied, has a vibrant, layered mouthfeel, and gorgeous tannins.
