Baigorri Blanco Barrica is crafted from a blend of 90% Viura and 10% Malvasía grapes sourced exclusively from ancient vineyards in Samaniego, Navarides, and Leza, Rioja Alavesa. Following manual harvesting, all grapes undergo meticulous hand-selection using vibration and sorting tables. The must briefly macerates with grape skins before gentle pressing. Fermentation and an 8-month aging process take place in new French oak barrels, focusing on imparting structure and creaminess, with minimal or no toasting. Regular lees stirring (bâtonnage) enhances the wine's complexity and length on the palate.
Attractive yellow golden color. Elegant and complex nose, thanks to the period in oak barrels and the long contact with the fine lees. Exotic fruits, balsamic sensations with hints of minerals. Creamy and complex on the palate; elegant and very well balanced. Long and intense finish.
