Pellegrino Passito di Pantelleria - 2022 (500ml)
90 points, Bacchus Magazine-
Nicknamed "The Black Pearl of the Mediterranean", the small island of Pantelleria, an island of volcanic origin located between the Tunisian coast and the southern coast of Sicily, is legendary for its dessert wines made from "zibibbo", local name given to the Muscat grape variety. This one, produced by the Pellegrino house, turns out to be absolutely delicious! The color of the wine, limpid and luminous, shines with a dazzling golden yellow with amber highlights. Intense, complex and persistent, the aromas of honey, apricots, candied fruits, orange blossom, tobacco and dried figs enliven our olfactory lashes. On the palate, the wine deduces with its velvery texture and its richness without sinking into heaviness. Very good acidity ensures balance and highlights the flavors which persist in a magnificent finish.
