"A perennial favorite, our Shea Vineyard Pinot noir is the most complex and texturally dimensional wine I produce. It embodies the idea of longevity and can be cellared for 20+ years. I personally (and many others) consider Shea to be one of Oregon’s greatest vineyards. I source from two blocks at Shea Vineyard, Block 6 which was planted in 2000 and 2002 with Pommard and Dijon 115, and the Terrace Block, a steeply terraced block planted with Pommard on fractured sandstone and sediment." - Winemaker's Notes, Mark Vlossak

2019 Pinot noir, Shea Vineyard was served at the White House State Dinner with the President of Kenya, President Obama, Clinton, and Biden in May of 2024. Additionally, here are other accolades:

92 pts, Burghound - A very pinot-like nose expresses it aromas of both red and dark berry, spice, earth and a whiff of exotic tea. The supple, delicious and vibrant middle weight flavors aren't particularly dense (though they're by no means dilute) with ample punch, focus and precision on the better-balanced, dusty and lingering finale where the only nit is a hint of warmth. This is lovely and worth checking out.

93+ Points, Vinous - Eric Guido
Depths of crushed ashen stones and grilled herbs give way to zests of tangerine and sour cherry as the 2019 Pinot Noir Shea Vineyard comes to life in the glass. This is silky-smooth, but it steps lightly, seeming to hover across the palate with ripe wild berry fruits neatly and a hint of inner cedar. Minty herbal tones resonate with a note of cocoa as the 2019 finishes long, juicy and wickedly fresh. It's almost impossible to stop at just one glass.

93 Points, Wine Enthusiast - Michael Alberty
A really intriguing mix of red fruit and tangerines highlight an aromatic set that also features touches of leather and loamy soil. All the raspberry flavor you can handle is on tap, along with tastes of smoked almonds and citrus. The wine’s juicy acidity is matched by significant tannic structure.

93 Points, Wine & Spirits
Burly and supremely flavorful, Shea vineyard fruit plays to Mark Vlossak’s strengths, making for a dark spicy wine with Dr. Pepper scents, hints of sassafras and carob, ushered along by assertive oak notes. The palate is vinous but velvety, packed with flavor yet delivered with surprising precision.
