I would prefer to cellar it for a few years, through. Readers will find a mid-weight, nuanced Barbaresco loaded with complexity and dynamic energy. The sculpted, youthfully austere style is classic Montefico.
It’s always a pleasure to stop by La Ca' Nova, which remains one of the most under-the-radar estates in Barbaresco...Barbaresco gets most of the attention here, but the entry-level wines are every bit as good.
