Located in the heart of the Langedoc, the appellation Faugeres is centered around 7 villages: Autignac, Cabrerolles, Caussiniojouls, Faugères, Fos, Laurens and Roquessels. Growers produce White, Rose, Red and Brandy from local grapes. They grow the following red grapes: Syrah, Grenache, Carignan, Lledoner Pelut, Mourvèdre and Cinsault. They also grow the following white grapes: Roussanne, Grenache blanc, Marsanne, Vermentino (Rolle), Clairette and Viognier.
There are only 59 wineries in the appellation.
