Siduri Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir - 2018 (750ml)
Siduri Rosella's Vineyard Pinot Noir - 2018 (750ml)
94 Points Vinous - Deep, glistening magenta. Expressive aromas of fresh, spice-tinged red and blue fruits and candied rose pick up cola and mineral nuances with air. Juicy, focused and seamless in texture, offering penetrating raspberry, cherry, boysenberry and spicecake flavors that deepen steadily as the wine opens up. Smoothly blends power and finesse. A very long, gently tannic finish echoes the floral and spice notes.
Starting in 1994, Adam Lee began gaining access to fruit from some of California’s most esteemed Pinot Noir vineyards, and Siduri (now owned by Jackson Family Estates) continues to work with most of those sources, including what many consider to be the very best sites in the Santa Lucia Highlands. The 2018s here are loaded with fruit and eminently approachable, but they also exhibit the hallmark freshness of the vintage, all of which will make the wines approachable now or later – your call.
