Duboeuf Domaine De Javernière Morgon Cote Du Py - 2018 (750ml)
Duboeuf Domaine De Javernière Morgon Cote Du Py - 2018 (750ml)
It was in 1985 that Hervé LACOQUE moved to this estate, which was founded 5 generations ago. There are four sub-appellations of the Morgon appellation: Micouds, Charmes, Corcelette and Côte du Py. Côte du Py is a hill of eruptive origin: a local characteristic which sits in the heart of the Morgon appellation. Its very deep and very draining soil allows the gamay to mature and flourish in ideal conditions.
A bright blueberry colour. A charming cuvée with aromas of black cherry marmalade embellished with notes of white pepper. Powerful, rich, fleshy, and heady, with solid tannins and a persistent length. It has a lot of character without lacking elegance!
Bright violet color. A deeply perfumed bouquet evokes black raspberry, cherry pit, pungent flowers and exotic spices. Fleshy and seamless in the mouth, offering sweet black/blue fruit flavors along with suave floral pastille and spicecake nuances that become livelier with aeration. Blends power and finesse smoothly and finishes very long and gently tannic, leaving a suggestion of candied flowers behind. - By Josh Raynolds on October 2019
