Barbera Monferrato Ornella is made in stainless steel, with a further 18-month refinement in 500 L French oak barrels. Usually bottled in March, it is sold after 8-10 months of further refinement in bottles kept in a cellar with controlled temperature.To ensure a wine of superior quality, the “Ornella” reserve is only produced after careful evaluation of the vintage.
Deeply colored with intense aromas including crushed violets, vanilla and a hint of savory sasparilla/rooty spice. This is concentrated and very long on the palate with a leaner texture that leans into food-friendliness.

Malvasia is truly a family of many varietals. It generally produces a light red wine, almost pink in color. Common aroma notes associated with Malvasia include peaches, apricots and white currants. Red Malvasia wines are characterized by a richness and chocolate notes. Fortified Malvasia, such as Madeira, are noted for their intense smokey notes and sharp acidity. As Malvasia ages, the wines tend to take on more nutty aromas and flavors though many Malvasia have a short life span of only a few years after vintage.
