A blend of Pedro Ximenez and Muscadelle grapes, fortified with wine brandy and aged in barrel for an extended time.
Colour
Deep amber tawny.
Nose
Rich raisined rancio characters highlight this unique sweet white dessert wine.
Palate
The richness suggested on the nose becomes obvious on the palate, and is the product of sun ripened Swan Valley grapes harvested at optimum maturity. The resultant wines are given extended maturation in old oak barrels to achieve an even greater degree of richness and complexity, before final blending and bottling.

Margaret River is a highly respected wine region in the southwestern corner of Western Australia. Famous for having a more "European" wine style than its counterparts across the country, Margaret River has made its name through its unusually refined Cabernet Sauvignon (often blended with Merlot), gamey Shiraz, intensely citrusy Chardonnay, and refreshingly grassy "SSB'" blends of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
Dessert wines are usually any sweet wine drunk with or around a meal. White fortified wines (fino and amontillado sherry) are usually drunk before the meal, and the red fortified wines (port and madeira) drunk after it. Most fortified wines are regarded as distinct from dessert wines, but some of the less strong fortified white wines, are regarded as honorary dessert wines. In the United States a dessert wine is legally defined as any wine over 14% alcohol by volume, which includes all fortified wines.
