Made from a blend of Malagousia and Roditis grown within the Macedonia region of Greece.
Winemaker's Note
Bright pale lemon color. On the nose, the freshness of Roditis with aromas of green fruit and citrus is paired with the stone fruit -mainly peach- and the floral notes of Malagousia. Medium-bodied with fruity and crisp mouthfeel that leads to a refreshing finish.
Roditis on the one hand, with its trademark pink skin, offers clean, lemony aromas with subtle mineral notes and crispness. On the other hand, Malagousia adds an aromatic richness (fruits, flowers, herbs), character and complexity.

The mineral profile of the grapes bodes well for blending and in recent times its has been blended often with Sauvignon blanc, Sémillon and Malagousia. Assyrtiko grapes clusters are large, with transparent yellow-gold skin and juicy flesh. In the volcanic soil of Santorini, there appear to be some unique characteristics that develop in the grape variety, and therefore in the wine. One of these characteristics is that Assyrtiko does not lose its acidity even if it is very ripe. Throughout Greece, the grape is vinified to make a variety of dry and sweet wines, including Vinsanto-like musky and syrup-sweet dessert wines. In Retsina, it is often blended with the less-acidic Savatiano grape.
White wine is a wine whose color can be pale-yellow, yellow-green, and yellow-gold colored. The wine is produced from a variety of grape varieties. The flavor and color comes from the juice of the grape and sometimes the skin of the grape as well. Interestingly, not all white wine comes from white grapes. Some select red grapes are used as in Champagne.
