Crisp as a mountain stream and nearly as refreshing. This is very light bodied white made with the Jacquere grape. Perfect to pair with a cheese fondue or roasted poultry.

Jacquère is a variety of white grape found primarily in the Savoy wine region of France. It ius used to produce beautifully fragrant dry white wine such as Vin de Savoie.
Savoie is an alpine region located on the border with Switzerland. It includes the appellations of Abymes, Apremont, Arbin, Chignin, Cruet and Montmelian. Among the white wine grapes, the most popular is Jacquere, while Altesse produces some of the finest. The red wines are mostly made from Pinot Noir and Gamay, however the regions highlight, Mondeuse, is experiencing somewhat of a renaissance.

White wine is a wine whose color can be pale-yellow, yellow-green, and yellow-gold colored. The wine is produced from a variety of grape varieties. The flavor and color comes from the juice of the grape and sometimes the skin of the grape as well. Interestingly, not all white wine comes from white grapes. Some select red grapes are used as in Champagne.
