Vintage Notes

The 2019 growing season in Sonoma County began later than average following a wet winter that replenished groundwater reserves throughout the region. Cool temperatures and periodic spring rains extended the growing season, allowing the grapes to develop slowly and evenly. The result was fruit harvested at ideal ripeness, with vibrant acidity, concentrated flavors, and exceptional balance. Widely regarded as one of the finest recent vintages in California, 2019 produced wines of remarkable freshness, elegance, and age-worthy structure.

Tasting Notes

Deep ruby in color, this expressive Pinot Noir opens with inviting aromas of black cherry, cassis, and ripe raspberry layered with notes of forest floor, damp earth, and subtle spice. The palate is rich and beautifully textured, revealing flavors of dark berries, tea leaf, tobacco, and a touch of leather. Silky tannins and bright acidity provide balance and structure, leading to a long, refined finish accented by hints of black pepper and savory complexity.
