Gordon & MacPhail 1965 from Glen Grant Distillery has been matured in a refill Sherry hogshead cask, gifting the spirit with sweet candied orange flavors on the palate, complemented by dashes of white pepper on the finish.
Nose-A basket laden with windfall apples. Aromas of clementine and vibrant orange sit upon intense polished oak. Touches of vanilla begin to come through with flashes of nutmeg and cinnamon.
Taste-Creamy; sweet oak tannins offer balance to candied orange and tonka bean. Decadent rose and jasmine flavors emerge with a subtle eucalyptus edge.
Finish-Sweetness working in harmony with dashes of white pepper. Delicate herbal elements remain, slowly fading into eucalyptus.
