With the oppressive heat and humidity upon us, we've selected a range of chillable reds to enjoy when it just seems too hot to enjoy heavier reds.  This collection includes lighter bodied reds that will just as good or better with a chill than at room temperature.  Some of these selections are made using carbonic maceration, a technique where the grapes a fermented without breaking the skins, which leads to darker colors, softer tannins and brightly fruity aromas.  Others are made from earlier picked grapes which offer higher levels of acidity and a fresh balance of flavors.
