It culminates in a long, chalky and refined finish that deftly balances crystalline mineral notes, fine-grained tannins and weightless power. The 2022 Malbec Concreto comes from the Uco Valley and was fermented in whole bunches before spending a winter in concrete vats. A rich purple in the glass. The fruit-forward, primary nose delivers enticing notes of violet and plum along with blueberry, cherry and sage. Dry and muscular on the palate, the chalky, restrained tannins and juicy flow produce a compact, vibrant mouthfeel. This is a textured, intentionally no-nonsense red.
