This unique Auchentoshan has been matured in three different cask types. Moving from American Bourbon to Spanish Oloroso Sherry, and finally Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.
Rich golden bronze. An enticing nose of blackcurrant, brown sugar, orange, plum and raisin. Fruit and syrup on the palate with hazelnut, hints of cinnamon, and lemon. A butterscotch sweetness adds to the overall complexity. A long fruity finish complemented by a touch of oaky sweetness.

Although Lowland Scotland used to be a hive of activity when it came to whisky production, there are now only three distilleries in operation. Auchentoshan, just west of Glasgow, Bladnoch, in Wigtown on the Solway Firth, and Glenkinchie, 30 minutes drive east from Edinburgh. Although mothballed, occasionally rare bottlings from the Littlemill, Rosebank, and St. Magdalene distilleries will appear on the market. Lowlands are very slightly peated and generally light in body but can offer expressive aroma of grass, flowers, citrus, and apple.
Single malts, made by a single distillery and from 100% malted barley, comprise the majority of our selection. However you will also find a number of popular blended Scotches as well as some very special one-off, single barrel, single malts from independent bottlers.
