Glenlivet 15 Year Old French 750ml

Color: Deep and intense gold
Nose: Creamy and rich with buttery notes
Palate: Fruity, nutty flavors
Finish: Lingering trace of sweet almonds and hints of spice

The 15 Year Old’s distinctive character is the result of selective maturation; a proportion of the spirit is matured in a selection of French Oak casks for a limited period, so as not to overpower the final result.
Limousin Oak, which is cut in the Dordogne region of France, is often used to mature fine wines and cognacs. In the case of The Glenlivet, its low density allows the spirit to penetrate deep into the wood, imparting the expression’s distinctive spiciness. The French Oak also increases the intensity of the whisky, resulting in a richer and creamier finish.

Region: Speyside
Although Speyside lies within the Scottish Highlands, it is considered its own whisky producing region due to the concentration of distilleries and similarities in style. However within Speyside there can still be a significant differences. There are those on the lighter side, such as Glenlivet and Singleton of Glendullan and those richer, rounder Scotches from Macallan and Aberlour.

Type: Scotch Whisky
Single malts, made by a single distillery and from 100% malted barley, comprise the majority of our selection. However you will also find a number of popular blended Scotches as well as some very special one-off, single barrel, single malts from independent bottlers.
