A bright ruby color and unencumbered aromas of cherry, red plum and light oak are inviting and easy to process. This is Uruguayan Tannat in its cleanest, most modern form. The palate feels juicy and medium in body. Light spice notes accent popping plum and raspberry flavors, while the finish is easygoing.

Country: Uruguay
Region: Garzon
Garzón is a village in the Maldonado Department of southeastern Uruguay. The Garzon wine region is only 11 miles from the Atlantic ocean and is impacted by the cool winds from the ocean. It also offers a hilly geography allowing multiple vineyard orientations and exposures to allow a wide range of grapes to ripen properly.
Sub-Region:
Type: Red
Red wine is wine made from dark-coloured grape varieties. The color of red differs based on the grapes variety or varieties used.
Interestingly, black grapes yield a juice that is greenish-white. The actual red color comes from anthocyan pigments (also called anthocyanins) from the skin of the grape (exceptions are the relatively uncommon teinturier varieties, which produce a red colored juice). Most of the production centers around the extraction of color and flavor from the grape skin.
