Located in the Cote de Beaune region of Burgundy, Saint-Aubin sits adjacent and west of the more famous, pricier villages of Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet. Once mainly a red wine producing commune, it's focus has changed to growing Chardonnay (now 75%) since the early 1990s when its whites were found to offer quality similar to that of it's neighbors and for considerably less. Two thirds of the vineyards are rated premier cru with 29 in whole or in part. The most notable being Les Murgers Dent de Chien, En Remilly, & Les Cahrmois. It's reds, which are now rarely available outside of the region, are similar to the also dwindling number of reds from Chassagne-Montrachet.
