Rich, brilliant amber hue. Sweet caramel, pecan pie, and brown spice aromas have a perfumed fruity edge. A silky entry leads to a dry medium-to full-bodied palate with rich roasted nuts, salt, dried fuits, dark caramel, tea leaves, and pepper spice. Finishes cleanly and with a hint of vanilla.

This is a rare single malt. The distillery closed in 1983 and there are almost no bottles left of this delicious malt. Thick, and smoky with a pleasing degree of vanilla. Enormous, mouth-filling and with lots of peat and barley flavors; concentrated, sweet, dense and enormously delicious. The finish seems to last forever with a continuation of the stunning peat/barley/grist middle only now with a light spread of raspberry jam. WOW!

Aromas of creamy citrus, orange blossom and light toasty oak carry over nicely to the palate, showing richness, depth and complexity, building on a core of smoky fig, apricot and melon. Drink now through 2008. 7,000 cases made. –JL

The Lombard Pebble Beach 12 year is sightly peaty and complex. It is elegant and light in both its aroma and weight. Flavor is full, yet soft with a hint of fruit and smokiness. If you prefer to cut your single malt, use just a splash of still water - preferably Scottish Highland Spring water - but never ice.

Concentrated, with fine depth to its tart, earthy pineapple, fig, lemon-lime and subtle grass undertones. Bright acidity defines the ripe fruit through the earthy finish. Drink now. 875 cases made. –JL

This best kept secret in Single Malt by Lombard is awesome! The nose of this Northern Highlands malt is herbal with light citrus and smoke. It is fresh and clean with a little sweetness on the palate, followed by hints of toffee, apple and cinnamon. There is fruit with slight smokiness. The finish is light, soft, long and sweet. Very well balanced with a faint salty hint of peat.
